Converting a Slot Machine from Token to Coin

1/02/2006 06:02:00 PM

Someone named "Planner" sends us the following question...
Q:: Is it possible to change a token slot machine over to a coin operated machine?
A:: Yes you can convert a token machine to coin, you need to convert the hopper to the coin that you are going to use, and change the coin in the coin comparator, and the coin head.

If the machine accepts bills you will need to change the denomination in the program so that you get the proper number of credits for the bills that are inserted if its a quarter you get 4 credits for each 1 dollar bill etc.

  • Any help with locating a conversion for a Pachislo machine?

  • Can anyone tell me where to get a quarter hopper for a Japanese Pachislo machine. The one I have only works right with tokens. I've tried quarters but they don't eject correctly and get bunched up in the chute.

    Thanks

  • You can find all of the needed parts to convert a token machine to coins by doing a search on the Internet... "Slot machines" for example will bring up a ton of sites that sell machines as well as most any part in them. Another source that you should be able to find everything needed is ebay. It's a simple process once you have the proper parts. Doing some searching, you should be able to find the pc's. needed fairly cheap.

  • I keep seeing people post 'it's so easy!' then give no specifics. I've been searching hi and lo on the internet AND ebay for instructions and parts for converting pachislo machines from tokens to coins but can't get straight answers... just as in here.

If it IS a hopper that needs changing, what is a URL or link to finding where to purchase one? I'm more than happy to pay for the stuff but nobody seems to want to take my money! lol

somebody please please please have the guts to post some specific details!

  • I have a Pachislo "Double Up" machine. The payout and credit instructions on the front of the machine are in Japanese. Anyone know where I can find what this says?

  • It's really easy to convert the Pichislo slot machines. You don't need to replace the hopper. All you need is a little scotch tape to trick the front-end entry.

I have two slot machines for sale.
